Feminist - Abolitionist - Transformative

Success Stories Program is building a world free of prisons and patriarchy. We see individual and systemic acts of harm as symptoms of patriarchal beliefs that can be transformed.

We deliver a 13-week curriculum that helps people who have harmed to get clear on the people and goals most important to them, as well as obstacles, like patriarchal beliefs, they've placed in their way. After graduating, Alumni receive support and programming from Success Stories for life.

Success Stories Program works in prisons, jails, group homes, re-entry programs, schools, places of work and more.

Our Story

Success Stories Program was co-founded by two incarcerated young men, Charles Berry and Richie "Reseda" Edmond-Vargas at the California Training Facility prison in 2014. It was completely developed and ran by incarcerated people there and still is to this day.

Much of the original leadership team, have since been released and are now spreading the work all over the country.
